On behalf of the 1000's of lives that will be touched in 2013 through the ministries of In His Wakes, we are humbly presenting some urgent financial needs of our ministry.

Our directors, Nate and Ivy Miller are currently on the road driving from Oregon to the east coast so that we can kick off our 2013 A Day to Remember Tour on April 2. As we've been preparing for this season, some unexpected cost have arisen. If you feel lead to send a special donation to help cover these costs, we would be so grateful.

You can donate by going to the bottom of this site and clicking on "Help Someone Today", or you can mail a donation to In His Wakes, PO Box 968, Keystone Heights, Fl 32656, or call our office at 352-478-2098.

Here are a few of the expenses we will incur in the next couple of weeks:

1) Our insurance costs have risen considerably. We need $7500 immediately.

2) Our motorhome has incurred repair expenses of $3000. These repairs were necessary so that the motor home can continue to travel down the highway and touch lives.

3) We will incur $1500.00 for our dog tags this month. These tags are worn by our participants year round and remind them that God is with them as they pass through the waters of life.

4) Medals for children $4000.00. These medals are so important to the children who participate in our event. They are a tangible reminder of the truth that God has a plan for their lives (Jer 29:11) and that they are champions in God's eyes. For many, it is the only award they have ever received.

5) We will also have diesel fuel costs in excess of $1500 as the Miller's make their way across the country to prepare for our 11th season of touching lives of at-risk youth across the country.

Thank you in advance for your generosity. We hope you can visit our events and be a part of what God is doing through YOU!

On May 11th, In His Wakes will be visiting Carrollton, Georgia to host an "A Day to Remember" event for local children. We apologize for leaving this event off our calendar and thank our host for welcoming us to their site!

After our team leaves Carrollton, we will make our way to the US Master's Water Ski and Wake Board Event in Pine Mountain, GA where we will once again host the Morning of Champion's Worship Service and present Jr. Scholarships and Sportsman Awards to the athletes. If you are at the Masters this year, please come by our booth and say hello! We look forward to meeting you!

Last year In His Wakes celebrated the milestone of one decade of reaching people with the life changing power of Jesus Christ through water sports. It was my 6th season!  I am sure when Kristi started IHW she had no idea what it would look like 10 years later; or, even if it would still be in existence.  As was the case for me 6 years prior when making a commitment to join the team. I had no way of predicting how things would turn out. We both took that first step of faith into the unknown and trusted the Lord to guide each individual step thereafter, and he did!

Although, we seek the Lord’s direction for each of those steps we are careful to closely evaluated the direction, purpose, and impact of this ministry. The two most critical evaluation periods for me take place at the end and beginning of each season. With the start of this 11th season closing in quickly, I am once again analyzing each area of In His Wakes with a great deal of prayer. Are we in line with God’s intended plan and purpose?  Are our eyes set on Jesus so we can walk on this water?

Recently, the Lord prompted me to look back at some quotes I had from last season that I had forgotten were even saved in my document files. I came across them while in the process of transferring all information over to a new laptop computer.

Here is a sampling of many:

“…For once I was able to forget about all the life issues I have to deal with…It really help me build my confidence in myself and in God.” Brandie H.

“Your compassion overwhelmed me and allowed me to face and overcome my fears.  That day, along with the message of Christ ( our Power source) will be forever placed in my heart.  I don’t look to the past but to the future. Thank you for not letting me give into “ I can!” Jaime S.

“Thank you for helping me face my fears.  I learned so many valuable lessons in my relationship with God.  I also learned to put my trust in God by keeping connected to the only Power Source that can successfully lead my life.” Joy

“I had a great fear of the water because I don’t know how to swim.  God really spoke to me when I knee boarded, I thought I had it but I let fear creep in and down I went.  You all constantly encouraged me and I didn’t give up.  The Lord showed me a lot about Him as my Power source.” Carla B.

I remember my purpose for saving these quotes was to have a constant reminder for myself and others as to how the Lord has used such a simple concepts of taking kids on the water, showing love, and building trust to make such an impact on so many. Words like these offer a great deal of confirmation and reassurance we must be doing something right and the Lord is using it transforming lives.

We are moving into this new season with another one of those individual steps of faith that started 11 years ago. Even with many changes, challenges, and distractions we are still excited to see how the Lord is going to continue moving in a mighty and powerful way. We are believing for even more victories in 2013 than ever before!

Thank you all for the continued prayer and support that so many of you have faithfully given on this ministries’ behalf over the years, we value each and every one of you!

In His Service,

Nate Miller

A special thank you to Vince and Karen Doughtery and the incredible team at Discount Inboard Marine for their incredible support and generous support. Last summer at one of our events, one of our boat engines got flooded. We were told a new engine was needed but after much prayer and the incredible talents of the DIM staff, our boat has been raised from the dead. We lovingly call it "Lazarus"! We are so grateful that we will once again be able to touch lives with this boat thanks to DIM!

Trust Jesus
If you do not currently have a relationship with God, you can begin one at any time. Romans 10:8-10 explains how: “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

As you accept what Christ has done for you, and put your faith in Him alone for salvation, you are then free to have a relationship with God and experience His peace, power, presence, and love. As you grow in your relationship with Him through studying and applying the Word of God, and by trusting Him daily, you will be able to have victory in your life regardless of your circumstances.

We'd love to talk with you about your decision to know God through a relationship with His Son, Jesus.
